Both bedrooms have air conditioning which helps ease the discomfort of trying to sleep during the long hot summer nights. All windows and doors have pull down mosquito screens, another added and thoughtful luxury provided at the villa.
The bedrooms are tastefully furnished with Italian furniture, comprising of dark mahogany wardrobes and decorative wrought iron bed frames. Both rooms are en-suite with w/c, shower and sink unit. This villa offers spacious rooms for a comfortable stay.
Downstairs comprises of a fully equipped kitchen with all modern appliances. Dining seating for 6 people and a comfortable sofa for 2 people, this also doubles up as a sofa bed in the evening time. Just off from the kitchen you have the first of 2 bedrooms, the twin room with en-suite bathroom and ample storage space.
Upstairs you have a living room with a contemporary sofa (also a sofa bed), LCD TV, DVD player and a FREE TO AIR satellite system. Leading out from the living area you have a terrace which boasts magnificent ocean views.
To the right of the living area you have the master double room again with en-suite bathroom.
Provided at the villa is a travel cot, bed safety rail and also a children's stair gate.
There is ample outdoor space also at the villa. There is a first floor balcony with sea views, flat roof top solarium, ground floor dining space at the entrance to the villa and also flowered/garden areas surrounding the villa and pool area.
Zambrone station is situated just minutes away from the villa; from the station you can access all the coastal towns of Calabria, such as Tropea, Capo Vaticano, Ricadi, Pizzo, Briatico and Lamezia. At the train station there is a café bar serving wine, beer, ice cream, Panini’s, pizza, coffee, cold drinks plus lots more.
Down the road running parallel to the train station you will find many beaches, there are many pizzerias speckled along the Zambrone coastline.
There is a very good restaurant/pizzeria called “La Capannia” with excellent views and only 400 meters from the villa. (The restaurant is open in July/August)
Renowned for its cuisine, Calabria is a food lover's paradise. Make the most of your stay by visiting the markets to stock up on local produce. Trucks selling fruit and veg, fresh fish and locally produced cheese and meats are a daily sight in most villages and together with the markets, is how most villagers buy their food. Restaurants, trattorias and pizzerias serving both modern and traditional dishes are plentiful, especially in the Summer months. Expect to pay considerably less than you would in the North.
Sunday Times put Tropea at number one spot in its ‘Top 20 Beaches’ report in January 2007. Tropea is only a short drive along the scenic coastline from Pizzo.
