Capo Vaticano is situated at the Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria. The coast is also named “Costa degli Dei” (coast of the Gods). Lonely, enchanted bays with fantastic sandy beaches are surrounded by steeply rising rocks. Some of the bays can only be reached by boat. Watch the sun set behind the volcano of Stromboli.
The views from Capo Vaticano over the sea are superb and on a clear day you will see the cone of Stromboli and the other Aeolian islands looming out of the horizon. The Italians love Capo Vaticano for its pretty beaches. There is plenty of activity during the summer months while it becomes a serene and peaceful place in the off season.
